My professional experience includes 25 years as a C level executive in the financial services industry. I left the corporate world in late 2004 after a merger where I opted out of continuing in my current postion and took the package. Knowing that I was leaving, I started kicking around some ideas for a business while keeping my oar in the water for another job. That is, until I met Vinny and went to an IBI luncheon where I really was trying to network for a job, but found so much encouragement and support about my business idea that I started to seriously work on developing my concept and launching Urban Patio.
About My Business
Urban Patio is a retailer of euro-resort influenced, modern patio furniture and specializes in pieces sized to fit smaller spaces. It is located in the heart of Music Row in a re-developed commercial facility that includes other upscale retailers, personal services, restaurants, office space and loft living that is fast becoming a Nashville hot spot.
Urban Patio has a lead position in serving both the contemporary and small space outdoor furniture industry and is positioning for national expansion. Its' customer's include not only consumers, but also has a B2B following of Designer's, Architects, Developer's, Hospitality Industry professionals, etc.

Hi Debra! I came across your page by reading your post on the Rise of the Innerpreneur. I sent an email to you through the post and am interested in becoming a writer. I also enjoyed looking at all your pictures at Urban Patio. WOW! Really great stuff.
Are you familiar with 48Days.net? It is another wonderful networking site for entrepreneurs with over 4,000 members. Membership is free. I think you would really like it. I also started a group there called "The Nashvillians" and it is a great place to do some "local" networking and post information about your business. Check it out and see what you think. Here is a link to my page: http://www.48days.net/profile/Debbie81553.
I was always believed in your quality products and supporting local businesses. You are already helping me by hosting the Monday night seminars at your store.
