Event Description

On Saturday, November 21, the first monthly Marketing & PR Workshop for (All Types of) Artists takes place at the Selection Center from 12:00 until 2:30. The address is 2960 Sidco Drive in Nashville, TN 37204. The November workshop topic is Press Releases 101. It costs $35, and members of sponsoring organizations receive a $10 discount. The price includes lunch, networking, the workshop and Guest Speakers. All workshops are open to the public, yet they are designed for independent artists and small businesses in creative industries. The information is practical, the workshops are interactive and the teachings are either free or inexpensive to implement. “By attending the workshops, artists gain practical knowledge about marketing and public relations they can apply immediately. This helps them move forward with the business of their art,” said Megan McInnis, Producer of the workshops. For example, November attendees learn what a press release is, best practices, distribution and what should be included. Afterwards, the Guest Speakers give suggestions and personal advice.
